PC2M Website Transcoder for Mobile Clients

This website is introducing an open source web application which converts web pages and images, originally dedicated to PC based web browsers, available on web-capable mobile devices such as cellphones and PDAs. No special features like Java, or no additional software/hardware installation is necessary for the client side.

The program is being designed dedicated to Japanese web-capable cellphones, such as NTT DoCoMo's i-mode and au/KDDI's EZweb. But thanks to PHP's multibytes string functions, it may be adopted to other languages too.

Visit our multi-language version demonstration site (UTF-8) and see how it works.

Note that the demo site adopts ‘UTF-8’ as a character encoding to display multilingual characters. So you need a UTF-8 compliant system, font and web browser (e.g. Windows XP plus Internet Explorer 6).
You may not be able to see the demo with your mobile client since encodings and characters supported by actual mobile clients are very limited.
